Serial Debug Usage

Overview

After logging in through the debug serial port, you can run Linux commands directly in the device command line for system debugging and configuration.

Prerequisites

Complete the serial connection first as described in Serial Debug Login.

Common Operations

View System Information

bash
# View kernel version
uname -a

# View CPU information
cat /proc/cpuinfo

# View system version
cat /etc/os-release

View Network Information

bash
# View IP address
ip addr show

# View routing table
ip route

System Operations

bash
# Reboot the device
sudo reboot

# Power off
sudo poweroff

File Transfer

The debug serial port is only for command-line interaction and does not support file transfer. To upload or download files, use SSH/SCP instead.

Tip

  • The debug serial port does not depend on the network, and boot logs are also output through the serial port, which helps troubleshoot boot issues.
  • If the serial terminal disconnects, simply reconnect to continue.
