IO Integration

Function path: SVE navigation bar → Result Integration → IO

Overview

The smart camera drives OUT0~OUT3 digital output pins (high/low level) based on AI inference results, for external alarm lights, buzzers, sorting mechanisms, etc. Configure trigger conditions, output mode, duration on SVE. After saving, SVE drives the corresponding device files /sys/aidlux/io_out0/value~io_out3/value in real-time based on inference results, with the underlying driver controlling pin levels.

⚠️ IO Integration is only effective for AI tasks in SVE; customer SDK-developed applications are not supported.

Integration Requirements

ItemRequirement
Output ChannelsOUT0 ~ OUT3 (each channel has an independent switch)
Trigger ConditionResult is OK / Result is NG / Any result
Output ModeHigh -> Duration -> Low (switch after holding for set time) / Low -> Duration -> High (switch after holding for set time) / Hold High / Hold Low
Duration (ms)Only configurable in "High↔Low switch" mode; disabled in Hold mode
Underlying Device File/sys/aidlux/io_out0/value ~ io_out3/value (1=high level, 0=low level)

Basic Configuration on SVE

  1. Navigate to Result Integration → IO;
  2. Enable IO Output: Turn on the channel switches for OUT0~OUT3 individually; when no OUT channel is enabled, the page shows "IO Output Not Enabled" (each OUT configuration can still be edited and retained);
  3. Configure parameters:
ParameterDescription
Trigger ConditionResult is OK (default) / Result is NG / Any result
Output ModeHold High (default) / Hold Low / High -> Duration -> Low / Low -> Duration -> High
Duration (ms)Configurable in High↔Low switch mode (default 0); disabled in Hold mode
  1. Click Save.

Note: OUTx channel switches, trigger condition/output mode/duration, test output buttons, and debug request are all page features for configuration and debugging.

Basic Verification

Method 1: Debug Button Test Output

  1. Click the Test Output OUTx button for a channel on the SVE IO page;
  2. Monitor the device file on the camera command line:
bash
watch cat /sys/aidlux/io_out0/value    # corresponds to OUT0

Pin level switches between 1 (high) / 0 (low) following button operations → Channel linkage normal.

Method 2: Real Inference Test

  1. Recommend using static images (image processing interval > duration, for easier observation);
  2. Configure IO on SVE (trigger condition/output mode/duration) and save;
  3. Trigger AI inference so the result meets the trigger condition;
  4. Simultaneously watch cat /sys/aidlux/io_out0/value to observe level changes, or observe external indicator lights/alarms.

When the trigger condition is met, the pin outputs the corresponding level (hold or pulse) → Integration successful.

Common Issues

SymptomTroubleshooting
No level change visibleConfirm OUTx channel is enabled, trigger condition is met (OK/NG/any result), inference has been triggered
Level is a brief pulseDuration too short; or using Hold mode (duration is unavailable in this case, which is normal)
Customer SDK app has no IO effectIO only supports AI tasks within SVE; customer SDK needs to operate device files directly
Page shows "IO Output Not Enabled"Need to enable the corresponding OUT channel switch and save first
