MQTT Integration

Function path: SVE navigation bar → Result Integration → MQTT

Overview

The smart camera acts as an MQTT Publisher, publishing AI inference results as JSON messages to a specified Topic on the MQTT Broker, which routes them to subscribers (MES / host computer / gateway). MQTT transmits result messages (containing image links); image files go through a file channel and are fetched on demand.

Integration Requirements

ItemRequirement
MQTT BrokerAccessible by the camera, TCP service enabled on the specified port (default 1883)
Broker AddressBroker IP (camera-reachable)
PortMQTT service port (default 1883, per server configuration)
Client IDGlobally unique (each camera must not duplicate; conflicts cause "kicked off")
TopicCamera report topic, per site convention (e.g., camera/<deviceId>/result)
QoS0 / 1 / 2 (select based on reliability requirements)
AuthenticationIf Broker has account/password authentication enabled, camera must provide corresponding credentials
Message FormatJSON (containing appId / cameraId / timestamp / originImg / finalImg, etc.)

Basic Configuration on SVE

  1. Navigate to Result Integration → MQTT;
  2. Turn on the MQTT Integration switch;
  3. Fill in connection parameters:
ParameterDescription
Broker AddressMQTT Broker IP
PortMQTT service port (default 1883)
Client IDClick Generate or customize a unique value
TopicCamera report topic
QoS0 / 1 / 2
  1. Click Save.

Basic Verification

Page Testing (Test Publish)

After configuration, click Test Publish and observe the "Debug Request" area on the right: a successful publish indicates the link is normal. You can subscribe to the Topic on the Broker side to see the corresponding test message.

Real Task Verification

  1. In Task Management → AI Apps, trigger "Run Preview" for the application to complete one inference cycle;
  2. Use any MQTT subscriber client on the Broker side to subscribe to the camera's report Topic. The appearance of the camera's reported Topic and JSON (containing originImg / finalImg links) → Integration successful.

Common Issues

SymptomTroubleshooting
Cannot connect to BrokerCheck if Broker is running and port is reachable; same network segment; firewall
Published but not visible to subscriberTopic hierarchy and subscription wildcard matching; QoS/RETAIN settings
Authentication failed (not authorised)Broker has authentication enabled; camera needs correct account/password configured
Camera offline/reconnectingClientID uniqueness; network stability
