Ethernet Interface
The Rhino Pi IQ9N (Rhino Pi IQ9N) has 1 onboard RJ45 2.5G Ethernet interface, connected from a PHY chip to the CPU module through an SGMII interface.
Hardware Specifications
For the position of the RJ45 port on the board, see the interface layout diagram in Rhino Pi IQ9N Interface Description on the first page.
| Item | Parameter |
|---|---|
| Number of interfaces | 1 |
| Interface type | RJ45 |
| Speed | 2.5G |
| PHY support | 10BASE-Te, 100BASE-TX, 1000BASE-T, 2.5GBASE-T |
| Supported standards | IEEE 802.3, NBASE-T Alliance PHY |
| Transmission medium | CAT5E UTP cable |
| Uplink interface | SGMII |
The PHY chip uses DSP technology and an analog front end, integrating a digital adaptive equalizer, analog-to-digital conversion, line driver, echo canceller, crosstalk canceller, and phase-locked loop, and supports crossover detection with automatic correction and polarity correction.
Hardware Connection
Use a network cable to connect the RJ45 port of the Rhino Pi IQ9N to the Ethernet port of a router or switch.
Once the connection is established, the network indicator LEDs on the RJ45 connector show the network status.
Network Information
You can use the ip a command to view network information.
ip aThe eth0 field in the terminal output is the Ethernet interface, and the address after inet is the current IP address.
Soft Router
The Rhino Pi IQ9N supports enabling the hotspot feature to be used as a soft router. See the hotspot configuration instructions in Wi-Fi / Bluetooth Interface.
