Direct Display Login
This article describes how to log in to the Rhino Pi IQ9N Ubuntu system directly through an HDMI display and USB keyboard/mouse.
Prerequisites
| Item | Description |
|---|---|
| Rhino Pi IQ9N | Ubuntu 24.04 system already flashed |
| Power adapter | DC 19V / 65W |
| HDMI cable | Connects the device's HDMI interface to the display |
| Display | Supports HDMI input |
| USB keyboard/mouse | Used to interact with the system |
Note
By default, the device uses MIPI-DSI as the primary screen. If no MIPI screen is connected, you must first disable the MIPI-DSI output before the login screen appears on the HDMI display; see Display Usage for the configuration method.
Procedure
- Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI interface on the Rhino Pi IQ9N and the other end to the display.
- Connect a USB keyboard and mouse to the device's USB TYPE-A interfaces.
- Connect the DC power adapter; the device powers on automatically.
- After power-on, the system indicator lights up, the fan starts running, and the display shows the system output.
- Wait for the system to finish booting and the login screen to appear.
Logging In
Enter the system account and password on the login screen:
| Item | Value |

| Password | aidlux |
It is recommended to change the default password after the first login to avoid security risks.
FAQ
- No signal on the display: confirm that the HDMI cable is fully inserted and check whether the display input source is switched to the corresponding HDMI channel; if no MIPI screen is connected to the device, you must also disable the MIPI-DSI output first — see Display Usage.
- Cannot enter the desktop: confirm that the system image was flashed correctly; see Ubuntu System Installation.
